Harvest Moon

Something has been growing in you. Something has been growing in me. In fact the Bible gives us a beautiful image of all of creation laboring to birth something new. I really feel that metaphor right now. During my pregnancies I would dream of how I expected birth to feel; a release of all the pressure that I'd been holding onto. In real life it's a lot more complicated and messy. There are times I feel like I am having that dream in my life; times when I am starting to feel how close I am to the thing that God planted in me long ago being ready to be born. I can just get a taste of what that thing is and what it will be like, but the process is long, and I find my path by just keeping on, not by knowing where I am going. When the time comes, nothing will be able to hold back the harvest. Who are you becoming? Can you get a little taste of it today? While the time may not yet be full to discover all that God has been sowing in your life, there are little harvests, times where we get to taste the fruit of what we've been growing.
