Cycles

I realized a week or so ago, as I sat to make a few lists for the upcoming weeks, why it has been such a challenge for me to get my newsletter out on time. I have been so productive and thriving the rest of the month, but the date I have chosen for newsletters to go out keeps aligning with my period. So I’m all blow and go up until the time I sit down to get a newsletter together and my brain has turned to mush. I know this isn't something we talk about a lot, but I am learning, ever so slowly to work with this wheel I am on instead of fighting against it. To ride the waves instead of cursing that I can’t stand steady. You may have, like me, bought into the notion that we need to be more consistent in our productivity, and that each week's work should look the same, but I am unlearning that message. The cyclicality that is built into who we are as women has a unique power of it's own, and this rise and fall that I have been fighting against, is something that can work for me. I hope that you will discover how to make it work for you too.

August brings us the Full Sturgeon moon. At first I was a little thrown by this theme, as it's just not as glamorous as some that we've had before, but it turns out it actually dovetails well with the idea of connecting to our natural cycles. This month is a good opportunity to dive deep beneath our own surface, to connect with the element of water, and to return to our source.
